<aside> 💡 To understand who you’re pitching your content to, you need to break down the characteristics of the hypothetical person at the other side of the camera. This serves as a guiding light for your content and the tone of your delivery. It may be the case that you’re making videos for the person you were two years ago, or you may have unique insight into a field which you want to share with people. These exercises give you clarity on exactly who that person is and what you’re contributing to their life through your videos.

Think about your “audience avatar”, the person at the other side of the camera who is a member of your ideal audience. The more detail here, the better.

<aside> 🎯 Ali: You can make great content for thousands and thousands of people, by targeting just one (or a few) of them. Start by creating “personas” (character descriptions) for up to three members of your ideal target audience.
