Known as one of the most generous creators on YouTube: Jimmy Donaldson, or MrBeast as many know him, has made international headlines for his wildly popular donation videos and crazy Philanthropy projects. MrBeast loves data and uses it to get over 50-60 million views per video release. Also, started MrBeast Gaming and it was the fastest channel to reach 10 million and 20 million subscribers.
Mr. Beast explains that for him, AVD is the most difficult part of the process when creating a video as his content usually is 15 minutes+ long.
There's always 3 factors that he wants to talk about with his team when generating content ideas:
Intro - You need to quickly show them that the thumbnail and title are not clickbait and hook them within the first 5 seconds.
Storyline - You need to convince them to stay for the full video by having an interesting storyline which will lead them to the payoff.
Payoff - Have a fulfilling payoff that leaves them satisfied and wanting more of your content.
Mr. Beast explains that they track the performance of their videos when they hit the same amount of views, this way you are comparing apples to apples. He explains that it's difficult to do this later down the line as the more views a video has, the lower the AVD and CTR % will be as its been pushed to more people. Therefore, his team makes sure to compare the videos when they hit 15m views as they are guaranteed to hit that number every video.
